Awaiting Visas

We thought that they would have arrived by Thursday, but when we checked the FedEx website, our visas had yet to be sent out by the New York embassy. Feeling a little worried, I called our agency. After a couple calls on their part we were notified that the visa confirmation number that was supposedly “put in the system” a week ago Thursday…the number we were waiting for before we bought our plane tickets…the number that secures our visas for our trip…was never put in the system. The embassy in NY is all set to send out our visas but are just waiting this number that has to come from Kazakhstan.

With this being discovered yesterday, a Friday, it was much too late in Kazakhstan to try to deal with the issue so now we are waiting until Monday to see if this can be worked out.

This is just cutting things a little too close for me and I’m stressed. It will only take one day for our visas to reach us once they are approved, but how long with the approval take?

Stress, stress, stress….

it will be ok…we needed some “confirmation’ number that we didn’t have, but we got it, and it was fine.

we had to deal with the dc embassy, not new york, and you can’t even fed ex to the dc embassy.
so, we pay a courier to deal with it.

it will be fine,i just know it.
    praying for you

    deep breath. 🙂

Don’t worry. You should be fine.
We also got our number info shortly before we left. It really didn’t take long to process. I think that office typically works with a short turn around time once it finally has all of the info that they need.

Good for you for checking on it when you did!!!
You’ll be breathing more easily mid-week once your visa’s arrive.

We agree with Susan, all will be fine!

    more deep breaths : )

I think we will be possibly sharing the visitation room, and maybe the same times, that is, if your kiddo is in leeza’s group.
I hope so……cuz i love all those kids.
